Abstract
Recently, growing numbers of consumers are using complementary and alternative medicine. Especially elderly people want inexpensive and non invasive intervention for their health. Reminiscence may be seen as an inexpensive "alternative therapy". Reminiscence in an effective approach to manage variable condition of clients especially in elderly peoples. Reminiscence seems to be a strategy by which the elderly people may both reaffirm and discover life and also provide reconstruct historical experiences, supporting and reinforcing life decision. It can be carried out in an individual or group therapy setting. It is not difficult to carry out by nurse because its not necessary to be trained. Although reminiscence seems to provide these benefits, little definable structure and conceptual establishment is developed. Additional research is needed on conceptual definition, conceptual model and methodological problems for measurement.
